This is a Multiple Short Text hidden question used to store randomized order values that will be applied in subsequent questions.
Each subquestion stores a comma-separated list of codes (for example: 3,1,5,2,4) representing the display order for a specific question or block later in the survey.
- You can use one, two, or multiple subquestions, depending on how many independent rotations are required.
- Additional subquestions can be added if needed. For each new subquestion, a corresponding configuration line must also be added in the JavaScript code.
- The answer codes in the questions where this rotation will be applied must be numeric codes in all cases, as in this example: S13 / S14 / Q2 / Q3 / Q4 / Q5.
This question should be placed at the beginning of the survey. If there are hidden variables passed by the panel provider (for example [RespID] in the Stratco survey), this question should be placed immediately after those variables.
When a respondent enters the survey, this question is not shown visually, although it is still present and active on the page. This is because the content is hidden using CSS, while the advance action (the click on the Next button) is triggered programmatically inside the JavaScript, as noted in the code comments.
This setup ensures that all required randomization orders are generated and stored before the respondent reaches the first visible question.
